At my father's funeral, in June of 1994, I said aloud this prayer of St. Francis Assisi:
Where there is hatred, let me sow love,
Where there is injury, pardon,
Where there is doubt, faith,
Where there is despair, hope,
Where there is darkness, light…
I sincerely hope it can still apply today.
