Summer's Survivors

I took a short walk today to the northernmost part of Loyola Park. The lake was quite roily-looking, with swells at 3-4 feet, due to a COLD, harsh northeast wind. On my walk back home, I photographed these, in the planter outside the Loyola Park Fieldhouse.

One of the Last Daylilies

Moss Roses

Such beauties!

I bought these gorgeous, huge peaches on sale (.99/lb) a week ago on Friday afternoon at my local Dominick's.

They were quite hard, so I tore open the plastic bag, and left them to ripen a bit...the normal thing you do with hard peaches, right?

Early Sunday morning, less than 48 hours later, I picked one up to cut and add to my yogurt.

Again...the normal thing to do.

But the fact is, they weren't ripening...

...they were ROTTING from the inside out!

Kind of like what's happening to the Democrats today, isn't it?

I threw them out, as the Democrats will be thrown out on November 2nd.

Garbage, nothing but GARBAGE!
