I wonder who approved this...

...THING...supposedly a piece of "sculpture" which now hangs in the atrium of the Howard Street Red Line station?

It hangs as roughly two-thirds of a circle, and serves only to confuse the eye with its overabundance of reflections.

It kind of reminds me of the shiny things (aluminum pie plates, and small pieces of mirror) we used to use to scare birds away from our truck garden back in the 70s!

Perhaps it's meant to do just that--SCARE people away from Howard Street!

Overdone and 'Machine-ish'! Kind of like Ald. Joe Moore!

And certainly much too costly for the Howard SSA 19!

Would you vote for him...

...because he, too, uses a TelePromptr (TM)?

OBAMA-OBIT: Desiree Rogers

President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama released a statement Friday afternoon, saying "We are enormously grateful to Desiree Rogers for the terrific job she's done as the White House Social Secretary.

"When she took this position, we asked Desiree to help make sure that the White House truly is the People's House, and she did that by welcoming scores of everyday Americans through its doors, from wounded warriors to local schoolchildren to NASCAR drivers. She organized hundreds of fun and creative events during her time here, and we will miss her. We thank her again for her service and wish her all the best in her future endeavors."

Sounds like an obituary to me! So much for BFF!
