To Jeffery: Always
We loved each other, once
And lived with each other, twice.
He went his way
I, for a time, went that same path.
He knows I have always loved him.
Now, older, he must know
I still love him.
And lived with each other, twice.
He went his way
I, for a time, went that same path.
He knows I have always loved him.
Now, older, he must know
I still love him.
Something for Barry and Michelle to consider...
...as they 'pay-cay' through their lives.
God IS watching us...may God continue?
God IS watching us...may God continue?

As we prepare to remember...
...September 11, 2001...
...please also remember those 3,000 or so lost on that day, and their family and friends who remain..
Also...remember that radical Islamists caused this devastation, demonstrating to the world that Islam is NOT the religion of peace!

I can see the 'fambly' resemblance, can't you...
...especially in the ears and the smile.
Omar Onyango Obama, arrested for DUI in Massachusetts (ALLEGED uncle of Barack INSANE Obama)
Barack INSANE Obama, Nephew-in-Chief, I guess.
I have never believed this man to be the spawn of his alleged father, whom we are told is 'Barack, Sr.' or 'Barack I'.

I do believe, however, that the man identified as Barack Hussein Obama, currently the (failing) President of the USA, WAS born in Kenya, as his faux-Grandma Sarah (the Christian/Moslem), remembers so well.
Oh, the poor child...
...watch this, please, then look at the parents, especially the stepmother.
Faces of evil, yes?
And I certainly hope the surviving twin is safe from these evil ones.

My chair began to rock me...UPDATE!
...a few minutes before 1 PM (CDT), first gently, then a pause, and then the rocking was a bit more substantial for about 30 seconds.
Perhaps it's due to the less than 5 magnitude quake in Virginia?
For more info, go to http://www.usgs.gov/
UPDATE: 5.9 earthquake in Va, Felt in NYC

Just how accurate is weather radar?
As of 9:30 AM (CDT), this map shows all of Chicago having somewhere between light and heavy rain.
But...it is not raining here, at 9:49 AM (CDT).
Oh, yes, the rains will come...soon...but what does this graphic say for the accuracy of http://www.accuweather.com/us/il/chicago/60610/forecast-current-conditions.asp?
Just for fun...
...so you can begin Tuesday with a grin! (You know you won't get THAT from Bluff Daddy Obama!).
Of course, they COULD have gone around the fence, butt...that sheeple for ya, ain't it?

Great News for those with ALS!
Major ALS Breakthrough
Researchers discover common cause of all forms of ALS
Read more here.
*********
I am soooo happy re: this discovery!
Back in January, 1982, my dear mother passed away, after struggling with the ravages of ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) for a little over two and a half years.
Thank you, Dr. Siddique, for your determination and years of research! So many can finally see some light!

Stylizing Marilyn
J. Seward Johnson, the octagenarian sculptor, recently had his huge sculpture of Marilyn Monroe erected in Pioneer Court here in downtown Chicago.
This is a still from the scene between Marilyn and Tom Ewell in the film "The Seven Year Itch". The following are a few shots of what I prefer to call "J. Seward's Folly".
It's obvious I do not care for this thing. It entices all, men especially, to stand below the crotch area and have photos taken looking or reaching up. Do small children really need to see Daddy looking up a skirt?
What interested me more was the lack of 'quality control' in the assembly of this monstrosity. Just look at the lumpy arm below.

Pretty poorly done, wouldn't you say?
I ended my Mag Mile sojourn simply by rotating 180 degrees in order to view much more impressive 'sculpture'!

My take...
You know, I really don't care sometimes.
If you voted for Obama, as did several of my no-longer-friends, I hope you're doing well...but as I saw one of these former friends, rushing off the bus to get to the train today, I had to smirk...NO...stifle a giggle. He, the balding girly-man, wanted to make certain he did not have any contact with me.
His business is five floors below me; his car is parked in the lot right outside my window. He knows me.
Which is why he rushed to get out of the bus and get up the escalators to the train at the Howard stop, here in Chicago.
He wanted to avoid meeting me.
He is one of the three (it seems) complicit people trying to 'take me down'.
He is a well-known gay, and tries very hard to use the 'gayness' to attract other gays to his technology-oriented business, five floors below me.
He told me several years ago that I was his friend, then balked after I had scanned and transferred 70 hours of his family's film, which I had to wash, hang to straighten, and Photoshop (TM) to make a reasonable presentation. I asked for $400, I got $300.
This girly-man was my friend...and I did not fault him for being soooooo girly. He WAS my friend...but no longer. Neither he, Kris Luck, nor his buddy Bill Morton, who owes me over $1,400, plus another $1,000+ vis a vis my monies invested to incorporate and promote the failing Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce, are 'business persons' I would ever deal with again...and I caution all of you to be wary of these men.
Grifters...it's the word that comes to mind, especially concerning the Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce Director/Interim Treasurer, self-proclaimed Bishop James Alan Wilkowski, who works for David Orr. Need I say more?
These are liars, and cheats, and thieves...and oh, yes, OH MY!

And...no one said, nor would they, "Par-tay", Barack and Michelle!

HE waits...
...to BE TOLD WHAT TO SAY. Trust him now, huh?
A pResident, who stands there, stupidly, waiting to be told what to say while the Telepromptr (TM) cues up is like a day without sunshine.
What a putzy puppet!
And I suppose "every gray hair" is worth the wait for the Telepromptr (TM) to tell him what to say?
Because he hasn't the courtesy to say, "Good Morning, everyone, we have a problem with my Telepromptr (TM) which tells me the drivel I should spew to you".
Sorry, but he really looks pissed off...and that is probably ONE MORE JOB GONE!

Comments are OFF!
For those few of my cyber friends who regularly comment here, I must express a deep apology. I certainly know just who appreciates what I present, and I am soooo sorry...butt for the time being, and my own sanity, I must do this.
I can no longer go on momitoring comments from the cyber-bully trolls...Michael Giovanelli et al, who have connected my name and address to a pornographic website.
To them I give a massive middle finger, as I no longer need to read your aciduous, deprecating comments.
And, sweetie, you can stop sending me that BS "old people's stuff" through the snail mail.
I am on to you.

From My Window: Early Morning Storm
Scary, isn't it, when lightning storms hover right over you, waking you in the middle of the night.
This occurred Thursday night as well, at approximately the same time: 12:30 AM.
Not the highest quality video, but better than nothing.
The last boomer dumped the power here, which finally was restored at 12:55 this afternoon.
For some reason, here along the Lake Michigan shore, the storms get much more fierce.

From My Window: This evening's fog...
...looking from northeast to northwest
at 6:45 PM CDT.
Oh, almost forgot...Chicago's many miles of beaches were shut down today due the fog and the fear that the lifeguards might not be able to spot a swimmer in trouble.
Apparently, we are all too stupid and cannot take care of ourselves properly and responsibly while at the beach on yet another 90 degree day.

Bastille Day!
Claude Monet captured the celebration beautifully, yes?
And today is also the birthday of my grandmother. Born in 1889, Martha chose to marry Benedikt, against the wishes of her family, and they came to the USA in 1912. Their first son, my father, was born in December of 1914.
My Gramma, as we all called her, was a beautiful woman, a wonderful human being. She passed in August of 1983....
If not for her, I would not exist.
So, today, I do not celebrate 'all things French', but look back to my childhood days, spent with my beloved 'Gramma'.

Because...no one seems to notice ART IN MOTION, I show you, again...
What is it you do not like about me achieving my GOAL of sharing these marvelous days?
Honestly...after dealing with this stupid troll and all my physical probs...I just might DEPRIVE all of you of a look into the mind of a true artist.
I, yes me, myself, shot every pic, and Photshopped each, most carefully, to make a beautiful video/slideshow...because my goal in my life is to re-create the beauty which we were granted.
Sooooo sick of Obama garbage, and they are both garbage...dithering idiots.
"Whatever happens is a result of their conduct."
I am 65 years old.
I like peas, a wonderful and healthful legume.
In my own estimation, however, Barky's "Eat your Peas" quote shows that he, himself, DISDAINS this marvelous GREEN legume.
Barky should also fall away from the idea (as should his fugly wifey), that HE is the 'parent' of these grand United States of America!

That freakin' troll...
..does NOT seem to understand...much of anything.
Stupid, just a stupid man..he and his wife...living half-underground...with glass blocks for windows.
And accusing me of being RACIST? For what?
Dumb, Michael. Go away now, and take your meds, like a good little 37-year old boy....
"Don't worry, the church that you hate used this YouTube also and gave them proper acknowledgement. See you ain't the only one - Racist!

Not on our watch!
This is a man...a man who turned on that little button known as "common sense".
Herman Cain is, and should be, the 'father figure' Barack never had.
Loo-ey, at his best
If only Barky would have taken notice..butt he was so caught up with the olden days, which is the equivalent of Saul Alinsky!
And if Louis Armstrong was still alive, I truly think he would ask for impeachment of this 'poseur'!
And if Louis Armstrong was still alive, I truly think he would ask for impeachment of this 'poseur'!
Though my unmedicated troll...

Why would I be willing to support Herman Cain?
This gentleman is seemingly more 'presidential' than several past Presidents.

This gentleman KNOWS what real is, unlike the current 'renters' in our White House.
Herman Cain: a beautiful American and, a beautiful human being.
Gee golly whiz! Somehow, I cannot envision Herman Cain 'threatening' to stop my Social Security check?
Hey, don't play golf with my (and others') money!
And don't threaten me and other seniors, as you did last evening, Barky.
He's getting quite huffy-puffy, isn't he?
Just like a 6 year old who can't get what he wants and throws a tantrum.
Except...he is a 50 year old man, who has never held a REAL job in the private sector.
Oh, BTW...SS checks do not 'get mailed' on the third of the month, Barky...that's when they must arrive!
What a putz!
D'oh!! Anyone? Bueller?

Most poignant pic of the day
PALM DESERT, CA - JULY 12: Steve Ford (L) comforts his brother Jack Ford during the funeral for their mother and former first lady Betty Ford at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church July 12, 2011 in Palm Desert, California. Family, dignitaries, including first lady Michelle Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and former President Bill Clintonattended the service at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church, during which former first lady Rosalynn Carterand journalist Cokie Roberts presented eulogies for the outspoken Ford, who will be buried alongside her husband, former President Gerald R. Ford, in Grand Rapids, Michigan following a second service July 14.

*********
When my own Mother passed, in 1982, there were politicians at her funeral, too. But they were always 'too busy' to visit her...she suffered from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis--ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease)...and they, Dems all, apparently thought she was USELESS at that point.
She still had her very good brain...simply, she could no longer speak.
THAT'S when I began to distrust Democrats...and it will always be that way, especially as I, myself, am now 65, disabled, and the Obama-boy is saying my SS check might not be there on August 3rd?
*********
My deepest condolences to the Ford family upon the loss of your very courageous outspoken mother.
She did all of us well!

I understand how many hours it took to make this video...and "ziocody" deserves more credit than he or she has gotten so far.
Does Barack even know ANYTHING of American History? Other than black slavery, as told to him by his wifey? He is not 'black'...he is mulatto, and continually seems to deny his Caucasian roots.
A false man, a phoney pResident.

A Message to Michelle
First of all, Michelle, you are NEVER fully dressed.
You are pretty ugly.
Even when and if you smile
[TESSIE]
[spoken] So, for all of the "Hours of Smiles" Family,
this is Bert Healy saying...
[singing] Hey hobo man,
Hey Dapper Dan,
You've both got your style
[ALL ORPHANS]
But brother, you're never fully dressed
Without a smile
Your clothes may be Beau Brummelly
They stand out a mile
But brother you're never fully dressed
Without a smile
[JULY]
[spoken] Who cares what they're wearing
on Main Street of Saville Row
It's what you wear from ear to ear
And not from head to toe.
[MOLLY]
That matters
[TESSIE]
[spoken] Ah. the lovely Boylan Sisters.
[DUFFY, KATE AND PEPPER]
Doo doodle-oo doo
Doo doodle-oo doo
Doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo
[ALL ORPHANS]
Who cares what they're wearing on Main Street
or Saville Row
It's what you wear from ear to ear
And not from head to toe that matters
So, Senator, so, janitor
So long for a while
Remember you're never fully dressed
Though you may wear the best
You're never fully dressed without a

First of all, I used to hate hearing "Tomorrow" by the violinists at brunch in the Hyatt in Milwaukee.
Then...I worked the show, as costume assistant to Mr. Rhodes Reason, who was playing 'Daddy Warbucks' with the First Tour.
And I found those children to be especially adorable, even when the 'Annie' peed during the curtain calls.
Mighty Sun!
"Canto della Terra"
The Translation:
Yes I know
My love, that you and I
Are together briefly
For just a few moments
In silence
As we look out of our windows
And listen
To the sky
And to a world
That's awakening
And the night is already far away
Already, far away
Look at this world
Spinning with us
Even in the dark
Look at this world
Spinning for us
Giving us hope and some
Sun, sun sun
My love, you are you my love
I hear your voice,
And I listen to the sea.
It sounds just like your breathing
And all the love you want to give me
This love
That is there, hidden
Hidden among the waves
All the waves in the world
Just like a boat that....
Look at this world
Spinning with us
Even in the dark
Look at this world
Spinning for us
Giving us hope,
And some sun, sun, sun,
Some sun, sun, sun.
Look at this world
Spinning with us
Giving us some sun,
Mighty sun
Mighty sun
Mighty sun

I am more than pleased to be 'still alive at 65' and share this 1982 tour through Genova, the birthplace of Christopher Columbus, with all of you.

Just watch, then think a bit...
...and remember all of those who fought, and are STILL fighting for our independence, our freedom.
From http://www.youtube.com/user/ziocody comes this beautiful piece:
"Independence Day is annually celebrated on July 4 and is often known as "the Fourth of July". It is the anniversary of the publication of the declaration of independence from Great Britain in 1776. Patriotic displays and family events are organized throughout the United States. Many people display the American flag on their homes. The celebrations have deep roots in the American tradition of political freedom.
You probably recognize this popular song that has played in countless films and TV productions. Adagio for Strings, composed by Samuel Barber, has also been arranged for choral performances. More recently I found the robust brass arrangement and it has haunted me to do something more with it. My journey in life took me to the Capitol and I would like to think what you see and hear are a perfect fit.
Honor Air is an effort to charter flights to the National Mall bringing war veterans to see the memorials. Even though he served during WWII, my Grandfather who is 94 chose not to go because he didn't want to take the seat of a veteran who saw combat. Part of the reason I produced this piece was to bring the monuments to him.
Your comments are appreciated.
The U.S. President Woodrow Wilson first proclaimed an Armistice Day for November 11, 1919. In proclaiming the holiday, he said
"To us in America, the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with lots of pride in the heroism of those who died in the country's service and with gratitude for the victory, both because of the thing from which it has freed us and because of the opportunity it has given America to show her sympathy with peace and justice in the councils of the nations."
PRESIDENT LINCOLN, hearing that a mother had given five sons to the Union army, and that all of them had been killed on the battlefield, wrote her the following letter of sympathy :
"EXECUTIVE MANSION, WASHINGTON, Nov. 2I, 1864. " To MRS. BIXBY, BOSTON, MASS.
" Dear Madam—I have been shown, in the files of the War Department, a statement of the Adjutant General of Massachusetts that you are the mother of five sons who have died gloriously on the field of battle. I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which shall attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save. I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom. Yours very sincerely and respectfully, A. LINCOLN."
Thank you so much, ziocody!
