From a beautiful piece called "A Ceremony of Carols", written by Benjamin Britten.

My high school presented "Ceremony of Carols" for Christmas 0f 1961. I was 15, and was one of several soloists. That remains a fine memory!

The following year, I played the mother in Gian Carlo Menotti's "Amahl and the Night Visitors", which became an even greater memory!

Ah, the olden days!

When I was sixteen...

...I played the role of the mother in Gian Carlo Menotti's "Amahl and the Night Visitors".

I have a photo...somewhere. I'll find it soon, and just to let you know, I could hit the high "A".

The musical director, James Keeley, was also the Director of the Bel Canto Chorus in Milwaukee, of which I was a member for a time.

Old times, good times. And wonderful memories of Jim Keeley and his wife, Roseanne.
