Little by little, bit by bit...Autumn in Rogers Park

George, the Pumpkin Seller at 7313-15 N. Sheridan Road, has not been well of late. His successor is a genuinely nice young 'gentle' man from Wisconsin: Aaron (I hope I have the spelling correct?)

This 'Pumpkin/Christmas tree' lot is right outside my 6th floor window. For the last several years I've lived here, George has been 'the man'. Now, Aaron is here, and I found him to be a somewhat shy, but great conversationalist.

Aaron has a dream...don't we all? But I feel Aaron will achieve his dream. He is a musician, a guitar player. At 26, that's about time for something great to happen, isn't it?

Aaron told me he voted for Obama...but for this seasonal job selling pumpkins, and later Christmas trees, he is UNEMPLOYED. He admitted to not knowing what he would do when the season is finished, other than, "I'll look again for a job."

My insight into human beings showed me that this is an exceptional man--creative, inspired, productive!

This is a young man who should not be here, in Rogers Park, selling pumpkins and Christmas trees. He should be out there, playing his heart out as he wants to do, for you and for me! He told me he has no guitar with him, but practices fingering anyway.

One of his goals is to be onstage, playing guitar right-handed, then switch to a left-handed bass guitar, because he is ambidextrous. I think that's pretty cool, don't you?

BTW, Aaron painted the pumpkin himself, with both hands, though he claims he's not an artist!

Please, give him your business. And...he has sugar pumpkins that are great for baking, so you can create your own pumpkin pie. I bought one, and I'm certain I'll go back for a few more!

Aaron also threw in this lovely 'swan gourd', which I photographed just for the heck of it. Isn't it lovely?

I was speaking at length, yesterday, with a Chicago Police Department officer, who has become a sort of friend over the past several years.

For the first time, I mentioned I had abandoned the "Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce". He looked at me, and sniffed, as if that idea was stupid...which, apparently it was.

He told me, after I explained about Bill Morton's PERSONAL debt of $1,425, and the Rogers Park Chamber's debt to me of over $1,000, that I should take them/him to SMALL CLAIMS COURT.

I retorted: "I don't see how I can get BLOOD from a rock !" and told him the story of Bill Morton and his NON-neutered mongrel dog being attacked at Sherwin Beach. And how Bill Morton, cheesy president of Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce, "begged" for $450, and thousands more, to save his mixed breed, FOUND dog...which he considers a 'chick magnet'.

My friend, the Chicago Police officer, had this to say:

"He's a con man, and he knows how to con people. He's got it down."

I am going to say this right now: YES, I regret that I fell for this 'ne'er do well' BUM of Rogers Park. I was sooo0 totally stupid to give him more than money. Friendship is a two-way street, but as of now...that 'friendship', I have found, was nothing more than LYING and GREED ON HIS PART!

Bill Morton is, in my eyes, NOTHING! A TOTAL LOSER!

His SHOP LOCAL promotion, of a year ago, has gone nowhere. Why, you might ask? Because Bill Morton is LAZY...and prefers others to do his work.

He now has a preference for Nina Interlandi Bell, the current 'Secretary' of Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce. Nina, honey, it's only Bill Morton 'conning' you into this position. Grow the F&*k up! BTW...How much money have YOU loaned him?

Apparently, the US Chamber of Commerce no longer recognizes Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce as a member!

Which means Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce did not renew its membership, for which, in JUN of 2009, I paid $300, which that Chamber right now is remiss in paying me back.

The US Chamber of Commerce no longer recognizes Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce, because the annual dues of $300 went unpaid!

Sooo, Mr. Bill Morton, and Mr. Bishop-pric James Alan Wilkowski et alia, continue to lie their rear ends off to all of you.

The US Chamber of Commerce can, and should, sue for unlawful use of its logo.

Quite frankly, I hope they do just that!

Well, he lied, he has no idea of ETHICS,

and that is exactly why I resigned from Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce (which I financed and still have not been repaid over $1,000 owed for establishing that organization!)

Now, he is begging you, his neighbors in Rogers Park, for several thousand dollars.

Do not do it...I repeat...DO NOT DO IT, because Bill Morton will simply take that money and apply it to his rent.

Do NOT give him any monies, lest he will screw you as he screwed ME!

Remember, James Alan Wilkoski, you have also partaken of my generosity and hospitality in my own household, which then you praised and enjoyed. And you quite enjoyed being served and waited upon. Several times.

You are the one who said Bonnett was 'at sea', on July 3rd of last year, after your ill-fated protest against the death penalty which I photographed for you, my dear fellow, and you continued to say how you did not know quite how you would deal with him.

Remember, in that restaurant, after the ride in your convertible? You were very concerned that you might not be able to 'keep him on' and apparently now he is your best friend.

Do you Tweet each other? Somehow it seems, neither you nor he have changed or grown; and you now seem to condone criminal actions against the poor.

I hesitate to remind you, yet again, that the monies due me are a portion of the monies I was given through the Social Security Administration, for all the years of my work and it was agreed that I would eventually be repaid.
