Where is the repayment?

I'd REALLY like to know. I have been extremely patient, since I dropped out of the Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce because of ethical blunders on their part back in mid-November.

And I was supposed to receive a check for repayment, as agreed upon from the beginning with Bill Morton, again.


Ain't it amazin'--a BISHOP who does not know the calendar? That June has only 30 days? I must forgive him because he was educated on the Southside and now works for Cook County.

Of course, Bill Morton owes me also, on a personal level--an amount of $1,425. When I encountered him the other day, on the street, he just SMIRKED when I informed him I would take him to court.

Well, the time is here, and the time is now, so on Monday, I will be hiring a lawyer to take both Bill Morton and the Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce to COURT.

Smirk all you want, Bill.

And for all your promotion of Quest Network Services, why haven't you tried to renew their membership?

Quest Network Services, unfortunately, is no longer a viable member of Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce as of May 31, 2010. But Quest has not been informed re: renewal of membership as of today, JULY 2nd!

Mild Earthquake? UPDATE: Confirmed

At 12:46 CDT, I felt about a minute and a half's worth of mild shaking, as I watched my floor lamp and monitor also shake.

Weird!

Quake hits near Canada's capital, felt in Chicago

A 5.5 magnitude earthquake hit near the Canadian capital of Ottawa this afternoon, strong enough for tremors to be felt in the Chicago area.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake hit about 10 miles underground at about 12:40 p.m. central time.

Catherine White was sitting on a sofa reading a newspaper in her 3rd floor apartment near Montrose and Lake Shore Drive this afternoon when she felt the sofa shake.

White's mother Vicki Quade, sitting about 10 feet away at a computer terminal, also felt a tremor.

"I thought at first that it was the neighbors running or something, but it was too much for that. Too powerful,'' said White, 18. "You could see the newspaper moving, it was weird. It was strange."

Quade and her daughter -- who believe their building is on a fault line -- said they felt the tremor at about 12:50 p.m. and estimated it lasted about 12 to 15 seconds.

"It's a long 12 to 15 seconds," Quade said.
